The Wall Street Journal reports unnamed sources, which claim that Verizon isn't the only telecom turning over extensive phone records to the NSA. The agency's logging includes "call data" from AT&T and Sprint as well as information from ISPs and credit card records. If you've been following this week's disclosures about the NSA's expansive spying program, none of this should be too surprising.
A secret court order surfaced on Wednesday
The newsier bit is that ISPs and credit card companies are also working with the NSA. According to the WSJ:
NSA also obtains access to data from Internet service providers on Internet use such as data about email or website visits, several former officials said. NSA has established similar relationships with credit-card companies, three former officials said.
