Samsung was found by a court of law to be the guilty party with a sizeable penalty.

If you recall, Apple asked Samsung nicely to stop ripping off Apple IP. Businessinsider.com had a nice article recently pointing out the obvious of how Samsung apes Apple. http://www.businessinsider.com/samsung-copies-apple-2013-7#samsungs-galaxy-tab-packaging-looked-a-lot-like-the-packaging-for-apples-ipad-4

Also, it's a KNOWN FACT in the business community that Samsung apes secret industry or product information from its customers. http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2013-03-28/how-samsung-became-the-worlds-no-dot-1-smartphone-maker

It's up to Samsung to o the right thing: apologize and make amends. Even HTC settled with Apple.

Seems like Samsung is holding out an Olive branch ( if cross licencing is being offered it seems pretty good). If Tim Cook is serious about ending these lawsuits then it would be great if he sat down at the table and also met Samsung half way. These lawsuits don't do any good and are a waste of time. The whole thermonuclear thing did not help Apple as Job thought but made Android stronger and will continue to if Apple persist. Its like the galactic empire against the rebel alliance.

Princess Liea to Grand Moth Tar-kin " the more star systems you try to crush with your grip the more that slip out"

There are just to many Android manufactures to take on. Sony, Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola, Pan tech, Panasonic, The Chinese manufactures, ( all these guys can make life hard on Apple if they decide not to manufacture Apples devices with the latest and greatest LCD panels, Chips and low yields because they decide to use them on their devices first.) not to mention Qualcomm and Arm ( that make are making a killing because of all the Android manufactures).

It's more like Apple giving Samsung yet another chance to settle.

Did you recall the trial with Judge Koh? She ordered the two sides to settle before the trial and Samsung being the prick and wrong-doer didn't want to accept their actions. Right before the jury deliberations, Judge Koh again asked if the two sides wanted to settle and Samsung continued acting like the bigger prick. Talk about such arrogance! Then the jury deemed Samung the guilty party and awarded sizeable financial penalties. So what did Samsung do, they went after the jury fireman. Talk about a sore-loser.

Again, Samung needs to do the right thing. They stole Apple's IP. The world knows this. If there was a word to describe Samsung, it would be incorrigible.

Neither of these companies are faultless. They both just need to settle this and give someone else a chance to use the court system.
