Court of Justice - A Crime Roleplay

Hullo folks!

Once upon a time, when I was more active here on RoleplayGateway, I saw that some peeps were talking about having a war crime court roleplay.
I REALLY liked the idea, yet it didn't seem to go as planned and I don't know to this date whether or not it was actually put into play. So I've decided to try and see for myself if there are any others who would like to try and wrestle something good out of the plot idea.

The time / world / Crime settings can be changed as we go on. We could range from a criminal court in the 50'ies, persecuting a mobleader or mafia member. We could deal with alternate world history, in which the South won the American civil war, or the Axis defeated the allies, and we'd persecute the leaders of the Allied Nations, possibly the crew behind the Manhattan Project could be in for a nasty court setup. There are countless possibilities within all genres; medieval, fantasy, sci-fi and realistic.
Possibilities are endless and the courts would sometimes be very one-sided and sometimes intriguing about their decisions.

I'd like for about 6 people, myself included, to have time for the roleplay. That'd mean we had atleast; A judge, A defendant, a victim, A prosecutor, a defense attorney and a witness.

Personally I'd like to try a load of settings and roles, so I'd love to have the roles/settings be liquid, so nobody would have a set role, we'd all just join in and get turns as prosecutor, defendant and judge.
And the roles/settings would change every week/case or so.

As to length and skills required for the roleplay, I would say that 2-3 times a week should be sufficient posting. Possibly we could even set up a an evening/morning/midday once in a while were we'd all be present for about 2 hours or so, possibly making small conversation posts.
Personally I love composing long posts, but I'd say that 350 - 450 word posts should be more than enough.
A high level of literacy is encouraged, yet I expect nobody to be a Tolkien or a Hamilton. As long as your grammar is decent non-rubbish and your imagination and perception of imaginary worlds is as good as everybody else's, this should turn out well.
